Position Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a critical role in accelerating Trendcend’s growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing high-value brand partnerships. This individual will own the outbound sales pipeline, drive new business conversations, and help expand Trendcend’s presence across sports, entertainment, lifestyle, and consumer culture categories.

The ideal candidate is confident, highly organized, culturally fluent, a strong communicator, and understands creative, brand, or marketing environments. This role requires the discipline of a closer and the curiosity of a strategist. While this is a commission-based role, it is treated as a core strategic function within Trendcend and offers significant upward mobility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• • Generate 20–30 qualified leads per month through research, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, and category monitoring

• Book 12–16 sales meetings per week, including intro and discovery calls, and document all findings in CRM

• Facilitate Creative + Strategy intake and support development of 6–10 proposals per month (credentials decks, campaign concepts, project quotes, retainers)

• Manage the full outbound pipeline — prospecting, follow-up, proposal delivery, negotiation, and closing

• Drive toward closing 2–4 deals per quarter and support conversion of 1–2 retainers per quarter

• Maintain accurate CRM hygiene and provide weekly reporting on leads, meetings, proposals, and pipeline health

• Monitor cultural trends, industry shifts, and brand activity to identify high-value opportunities

• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare pitch materials and ensure alignment on opportunities

• Represent Trendcend professionally across all communication channels and respond with urgency in a fast-paced environment
• All other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2–4 years of sales, business development, partnerships, or related experience
• Experience in agency, marketing, creative, media, production, or sports/entertainment environments preferred
• Strong familiarity with sports, creators, entertainment, or culture-driven brands a major plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Exceptional verbal and written communication; strong presentation and storytelling skills
• Ability to sell value, outcomes, and cultural relevance—not just deliverables
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized with strong pipeline discipline and consistent follow-through
• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) or similar platforms
• Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a diverse set of client stakeholders
• High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
• Cultural fluency in sports, entertainment, fashion, and digital content ecosystems
• Must be comfortable operating on 100% commission in a high-growth, entrepreneurial agency

Compensation

This is a commission-only role with competitive commission rates and additional incentive tiers based on performance. High performers have the ability to earn substantial uncapped commission based on closed revenue.
