Running culture is dominated by “fastest wins” narratives, leaving everyday runners and creators feeling unseen. Performance marketing often celebrates extremes—elite speed, perfect form, high pressure—while New Balance’s audience values intentionality, rhythm, and real-life movement over medals.

SOLUTION
We launched OWN YOUR PACE, a warm, cinematic campaign that celebrates self-defined speed and self-defined success. By spotlighting diverse runners, creators, and city-movers across early mornings, late nights, rooftops, stairwells, studios, and rainy streets, we positioned New Balance as the brand that steps in where performance meets identity. Through grounded storytelling, pace-based content, and environment-led visuals, we reframed running as personal, not competitive—putting the spotlight back on intention, rhythm, and the individual journey.
